1349 ( Woking ) Take the 2008 Wing Falling plate trophy

The wing falling plate competition was held on the 2nd March 2008, this followed the practice held in Feburary. The competition consists of a run down from 300m to 200m with a team of 4 cadets (3 who must be from the same sqn) and engage the targets (The plates in the photo) with up to ten round each with a time limit of 90 seconds.

The winning team is either the team with the higest score or in the event of a tie it goes on who has the most remaining ammunition at the end.

This year the qualifying teams (Those who had enough cadets from one sqn) were 323 and 1349. In the competition round 1349 won with 9 plates down against 323 who hit 6 plates. 1349 were coached by FLt Lt Alan Talbot OC 1349 and Plt Off Ben White also from 1349 sqn.

The Winning team (see photograph) were (left to right): Cpl Lim, Cpl Shaw , Cpl Oag and Cdt Claydon (323).
