New Commandant Air Cadets visits London and South East Region

The newly appointed Commandant of the Air Cadets Organisation, Air Commodore Gordon Moulds MBE RAF, visited the LASER Region as part of his take-over brief recently. His two-day tour of the region included a parade night visit to 114 (Ruislip & Northwood) Squadron, and a detailed update on the LASER 2020 study by the Gp Capt Les Hakin OBE RAFR, Commandant of London & South East Region.

The Air Cdre Moulds had discussions with selected senior officers from Region and Wings covering various subjects including policy development, administration, adventure training, recruitment and media communications. The Air Cdre expanded on his vision for the Air Cadets, particularly his believe in "openness-honesty-loyalty" as the main pillars of his leadership, in meeting the many future challenges of what he knows to be a "world class youth organisation".
