Last Update: 06/10/2006 13:51:42 1075 (Camberley) Squadron held its formal annual inspection at the Royal Engineers’ Gibraltar Barracks in July. 43 cadets paraded in front of VIPs and their friends and family. VIPs included the Mayor of Surrey Heath, the Mayor of Sandhurst, Inspector Adams of Surrey Police, and Mr Hirons and Mr Griffiths from the RAF Association Central HQ. The cadets were inspected by the reviewing officer, Lt Col J Panton, the Commandant of the Cadet Training Centre at Frimley Park. Despite the blistering heat all the cadets managed to stay on their feet throughout the parade and put on a smart performance, which impressed the crowd. After refreshments in the NAFFI club function room the cadets put on dynamic displays in the nearby sports field, showing the guests some of the skills they have learnt in the ATC. These included an obstacle course/teamwork exercise, a tactical reconnaissance display, a first aid exercise and continuity drill (drill without commands to music).
